About Emily Rutherford

Emily Rutherford is a graduate from Sonoma State University with a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Photography. Rutherford loves the fast pace and movement that is sports photography. Capturing the beautiful movements and grace that athletes display everyday. In the summers of 2014, 2015, and 2017 Rutherford was the staff photographer for the San Rafael Pacifics Baseball Club. After the first summer Rutherford realized that sports was something fresh and exciting everyday, something that she liked to show in her work. So she then became the Sonoma State Athletic Department Photography intern from January 2016-May 2017. While Rutherford enjoys sports photography she also loves to work with 35mm film and landscapes.
